Canine Training Services
(current vet records required for all services.)
Paws Playhouse Training Staff have more combined years of experience than anywhere else. They are dedicated to the health and well being of your canine companion, and believe a well trained pup is a happy pup.
Deb Owens has been training in the Ames area since the mid-70's and has trained and/or titled dogs ranging in size from a Chihuahua to a German Shepherd. She has worked with the 4-H dog project in Boone County since the early 80's and judged many county fairs (and occasionally the state fair each summer). Her family raised 3 service puppies which went on to have long careers for their disabled owners and the Kansas Service Dog Society.
Deb has also worked with the Miniature Pinscher rescue since 1999. She is a part of the Pet Therapy program at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, visiting the Behavioral Health Unit each week with 2 of her dogs. She currently has 4 dogs (a Boxer, 2 Min Pins, and a Boston Terrier). Her dogs work and are titled in obedience (UKC and AKC), agility (UKC and AKC), tracking (AKC) and all are certified therapy dogs.
Deb really enjoys working with all dogs and owners, but love the "naughty" dogs especially!!
Deb Coates has been training dogs since the early 1990's. She has owned Rottweilers for nearly 20 years and particularly like the independent, hard-charging attitude of the working breeds. She grew up with dogs -- mixed breeds, Labs and Golden Retrievers. Deb has helped owners train many different breeds over the years from Mastiffs to Pittbulls to Yorkies. Currently, she has an eight-year old Rottweiler and a nearly two-year German Pinscher. She has titled dogs in tracking and Rally, trained dogs in obedience and agility, and participates with her Rottweiler in the Pet Therapy program at Mary Greeley Hospital. She is particularly interested in canine behavior and human-dog bonds.
JoAnn Rizzo bio's coming soon.
